Beth Hillman

After her fifteen-year-old son attended wilderness therapy in 2018 for substance use and anxiety issues, Beth experienced fear, anxiety, and a desperate need for guidance. This pivotal experience inspired her to create the parent support she wished she had. Beth is a double-certified Life and Parent Coach, Arbinger’s Living With an Outward Mindset seminar facilitator, and an Unshaming Way process-oriented facilitator.

Her professional background includes roles as a Family Program Director, Parent Seminar Teacher at a wilderness therapy program, Parent Transition Coach, and Parent Program Curriculum Developer. She also served as a certified coach and Finding You facilitator for Evoke.

Beth is also a dynamic and captivating public speaker. She has presented at national and local conferences on parenting struggling teens and influencing change within ourselves and others.

Beth brings a rare combination of empathy and lived experience to parents of struggling teens, whether they are at home, transitioning home, or currently in treatment. She is passionate about helping individuals cultivate self-awareness, emotional resilience, and accountability in their relationships while serving as an unshaming witness to themselves and others. Beth believes that when we truly understand the underlying intelligence of behaviors and experiences through an unshaming lens, even greater insights will reveal themselves.

Beth loves spending time outdoors with her husband and family, enjoying camping, hiking, kayaking, and river trips. She especially enjoys hanging out with their youngest, who is nine, and watching his interactions with his four adult brothers. The daughters-in-law affectionately describe the family as a rowdy bunch. Beth and her husband also have a passion for travel, exploring new destinations, and trying different cuisines from around the world.
